Hello welcome to my Wiki! This wiki is dedicated to my sporadic career research pertaining specifically to my PROFESSION: Instructional Design. I don't currently have the capacity now to build a full blown Gee Wow website about instructional design - which I probably should :) Or at least not post something this half baked (I mean that in the truest sense of the word, as I have heard the term "baked" in professional parlance in terms of completion). But in the interest of iterative design - I'm going for it. This front page article pertains all subjects I wish I'd learned in college (particularly grad school), OR issues that I did learn in college which persist in my professional career (you know how a lot of that stuff gets useless after a while that you don't keep using, like botany or um...sociocultural anthropology? I was an Art History major too, so imagine the memory dump that is going on in my mind now!). Also, I don't have time to blame, I just graduated in 2004. Though I graduated much older, so maybe I have a lot of 1980 - 90s paradigms stuck in my mind without the technology barriers.

Just goes to show you - Adult learners retain what they USE (but I think this is true with all stages of development - I am way more of a cognitive science & psychology nerd than an instructional design geek. This wiki is an effort to ramp up the latter :) Maybe I can get my other ID Nerd friends to join in. So for now, I will list articles I'm working on (precognitively) - you might find something of interest from the links on the right.

Writing (Decent) Learning Objectives

Why the lackluster title? Because I have found, under most circumstances, the way I would want to write a learning objective is considered overkill in the past few engagements I have had.
